It can be difficult to find the right spice for a dish. One might not know what type of spices are in their pantry or how to pronounce them. This blog post contains a list of 75+ different types of spices that one may need when cooking and includes the Tamil translation, as well as any relevant information about where it is from and its taste profile.

We all know how hard it is to remember what each type of spice is called in Tamil. The names can be so different from one another and they’re not always intuitive. So you end up looking at the bottle for a while until you figure out which one it is. It’s even worse if there aren’t any images on the bottle because then you have no idea what kind of shape or colour it might be!

This list will help make sure that doesn’t happen again! I’ve put together 75+ spices with their Tamil names and pictures that should cover most types of cooking needs (and hopefully some other ones too).
